I’m Mar, a certified Spanish teacher from Argentina, and I specialize in working with absolute beginners. I have more than 8 years of experience teaching students from all over the world, and I would love to be your guide in this amazing journey that is learning a new language. My beginners course is based on these 3 principles:

Don’t let nerves get in the way

I know that learning a new language can feel challenging at first! That’s why my priority is for you to feel relaxed and comfortable at all times. We’ll always go at your own pace, and I can switch to English whenever you want me to.

Took Spanish for years during high school but couldn’t speak a word? That won’t happen with me. My curriculum strategically breaks down Spanish into small “building blocks” that will allow you to speak from day 1.

Learn to communicate

Instead of learning ABOUT the language and its rules, my goal is for you to understand HOW to use the language to communicate. That’s why as soon as we learn something (a new building block), we’ll go straight to practicing conversation, role playing, and how that can be applied in real life.

About me

Languages have always been a part of my life. I started studying English when I was little, and I continued learning different languages on my own throughout the years until it eventually became my job. Nowadays I divide my time working as a translator, teaching, and reading lots of books!
